First things first: you, my dear friend have to sit down and have a true heart to heart with yourself and change does not come easy, and the changes you will make in the upcoming weeks will be uncomfortable. but your health is depending on these changes. and it’s your choice. you are the only one that gets to drive the car to your life so, do it. make that hard decision. decide. commit. commit to yourself, your health, and a new lifestyle. in this week you need to write a letter to yourself. well three letters to be exact. and yes, you will share these out loud with your coach. the first letter is to your past self; reflecting on your lifestyle and choices up until this point. have yo overworked your body?
Everyone’s story here is going to be unique & different to their own experiences. but if you have found yourself suddenly living with an upside down reality, then you know first hand what it’s like to sit across from the air. and be told that your life will be shockingly different moving forward. how does someone start to digest such news? let alone, accept it. the hard thing about diabetes type 2 is that in most cases you are diagnosed much later in life, opposed to being diagnosed as a kid with type 1. why is this so devastating then? because you have lived most of your life by standards you have grown comfortable with,
standards that are normal for you to navigate. now you have to create new rules to the edges that make up you life.
